Writer, reader, learner of life, and down right goofy, I have come to learn that life doesn’t call for me to be perfect. I am happy right now enjoying my imperfection. My name is Laura Williams. I am a mother of two wonderful kings in training. I have been raising them with the theory that “your words have life,” hence is the reason that I state they are kings in training. I want them to know that they matter among a world full of chaos. They have the ability to learn from the decisions they make, and they need to make decisions from a leadership role. I have been teaching them that they have the ability to influence others with their words, so I hope that the words they use are empowering and encouraging. If they aren’t, then why are they using them. It is a growing process, that I am still trying to assist them in. Heck, they have been assisting me in the very same process towards myself…
I came up the concept of Wiseempress.com when inspiration hit me. By inspiration, I mean I was tired of the frustration that I was experiencing in my life. I felt like I wasn’t going anywhere, and I wanted to share my pains in hopes that I would receive a word of wisdom from anyone who was willing to give it to me. As much as I have traveled in my life, I have always enjoyed a good story. It showed me that this world is full of people that are innovative with the items that life has given them. So, I wanted to create a forum that spoke to anyone and everyone on their journey and share the different possibilities that life has to offer.
Recently, I graduated with my Associates in Applied Science for Project Management. I was working full-time, a full-time student, and a full-time single parent. There were moments that I sat there and cried silently thinking how in the world was I going to make it through. Empowerment from family members, my fellow friends and acquaintances helped me stay the course, and I am grateful for every moment I shared with them.
My hobbies include: reading, writing, thinking creatively, hiking, learning new things, and listening to music. Since I recently relocated to Washington, I have learned that life is about enjoying the small moments. I have been surrounded by loving people. I enjoy each and every family member, friend, acquaintance, and even the road blockers
that I have held in the past, present, and the ones to come. I know that I will continue to learn from everyone, and (in the words of Spongebob Squarepants) I’m READY!
